A warm Scottish welcome awaits you at Ashburn House Fort William where highland proprietors Christine and Willie MacDonald will greet you with genuine Highland hospitality, traditional home cooking and king/super king-size beds. Victorian architectured and castellated Ashburn House sits quietly on the shore of Loch Linnhe with magnificent views of the Ardgour hills yet is only 10 minutes walk from the town centre and the renowned Lime Tree restaurant. There is ample free private parking at the house which blends Victorian elegance with all modern facilities.
Historically, Fort William is an old highland garrison town at the foot of Ben Nevis complete with old Inverlochy Castle ruins and an excellent museum with many Bonnie Prince Charlie Jacobite relics.
Situated at sea level, Fort William is an excellent touring centre for the Scottish Highlands and islands. Mallaig, Skye, Loch Ness (Nessie) Inverness, Glencoe, Oban, Mull and Iona are all an easy day trip, as are Eilean Donnan Castle, Urquhart Castle, Stalker Castle, Dunvegan Castle and the whisky trails.
